iTC Meeting Minutes 2022 07 12 - biometricITC/cPP-biometrics GitHub Wiki
https://github.com/biometricITC/cPP-biometrics/wiki/iTC-Meeting-Agenda-2022-07-12 Call started at 10:02am EDT
The call started with a review of the task list. There were no updates at this time.
The call then moved on to the Toolbox Pull Requests. TB PR #57 was quickly reviewed and merged. This was followed by TB PR #59 and PR #390 which were both approved prior to the call.
The next topic was FP PR #78 which had also been approved prior to the call and was merged.
TB PR #58 was then discussed. The sequence of issue to PR was reviewed to understand the last open question about separating PAD in the sensor so it could be tested independently. It was felt though that many devices may not have the ability to enable/disable the PAD and match functions independently and so it wasn’t sure how this could be required for the testing. Naruki pointed out that this is the reason the SD uses IAPAR since that is a full-system method for determining the failures and as such does not distinguish between PAD failure or match failure in the final results, they are just combined. This means that the separation should not be needed in testing.
It was determined though that IAPAR was not defined in the document anywhere (Toolbox or BIOSD), and that this should be added for clarity to both documents so it would be understood that the PAD engine does not need to be tested on its own. Brian will create new pull requests for this and send them out for review.
The final topic was Face PR #18 to discuss how to handle the requirements specifying that the camera (and other devices) must have been released within a year of the evaluation. Greg Ott provided information that should be sufficiently objective for cameras and lenses that can be used. It was generally agreed that dedicated photo printers should be required (as opposed to all-in-one printers that can also print photos), and the printer statement would be updated to that. Greg Ott would research more information about screens for presentation attacks to better update that particular row as right now that still isn’t clear.
The call ended at 10:56am EDT.
