Minutes

Brian created a new historical archive of the task list, but no other changes were made to the current status of the tasks.

NIAP provided feedback on the changes which was positive, and no other external comments were submitted. Naruki provided a large list of comments related to ensuring that the documents are consistent and has started creating pull requests for these. They are not all done yet.

Based on the new sets of pull requests and some technical difficulties with the Google Meet, it was decided not to review any of the current pull requests since not everyone could actually see the shared screen. This will also give more time for everyone to have reviewed the changes, and they will be discussed on the next call.

The group discussed whether a second public review draft would be necessary or if the next draft could be the proposed draft instead. The agreement was that given the comments, we should be able to move directly to the proposed draft. The question that followed was how this would tie into the next MDF release (v3.3).

Brian stated that his vision of how to move forward would be to work to the point of having the published document, and to post it as something like v1.1beta, noting that this is "complete and approved" by the iTC, but waiting on NIAP to publish their update. When that happens, the iTC would make any final adjustments for alignment that were needed (hopefully just things like getting the correct dates, or maybe SFR titles), and then publish at or around the same time. The idea being that those proposed changes would go through some sort of final quick check before being published (the amount of time being subject to the amount of change). Everyone agreed this should work, and would be the goal.

Brian then stated that he would reach back out to the schemes related to position statements for CMFA (since his email has now changed and with summer being almost over). Jon stated that NIAP didn't seem quite ready to move on a position statement yet, in part because this is still early in development, but recommended Brian reach back out again.

The call ended at 10:31am EST.
