Minutes

Brian discussed the current progress on the documents and preparing for the Public Draft in time for the CCUF. He said there is only one open pull request and 3 more comments to review from NIST from the last comment period.

Pull Requests PR #230 was merged on review of the changes on the call.

Issue #242 was reviewed with Greg providing additional information about the question. Based on this discussion, Naruki will propose an update to the BIOSD to clarify the requirements around symmetric testing and what the vendor must describe.

Issue #243 was closed based on a discussion about the basis for the cross comparisons. It was noted that the iTC should consider revisiting this in the future to increase the difficulty of the testing requirements, but nothing would be changed at this time.

Issue #262, formerly TB #31 was moved back to the original repository. Naruki will propose some additional text for the BIOSD related to following the vendor guidance on creating good enrollments to instead create poor ones (or attempts at enrollment). In addition a new TB #33 issue was created so that this type of information with examples (such as a wet finger) would be added to the modality overviews and could be used as a reference for both normal enrollment/verification testing as well as for PAD.

Brian then talked about the goal of completing these last updates and possibly ensuring that the Toolbox Overview is also ready for release at the CCUF. The group was in general agreement that this should be possible.

Brian then mentioned he was separately working on a general Interpretation Team process. The overview can be found here:

The next scheduled call for March 12 will be at the normal time.

The call ended at 10:33am EST.
