About BigChadGuys

The BigChadGuys Plus modpack was created by Joe (jflec). The pack is named after Joe’s friend “BigChadGuy,” for whom the first version of the modpack (now named “BigChadGuys and the Holy Grail”) was originally made.

What’s the difference between BigChadGuys Plus and BigChadGuys and the Holy Grail?

BigChadGuys Plus is a cozy, relaxing modpack with a strong focus on building, battling, and aesthetics. Lay back and experience this cutesy, relaxing modpack by farming a wide variety of crops like in Stardew Valley, automating machinery and logistics with Create, or building to your heart’s content with the dozens of bundled decor/furniture mods. Create a Mario-Kart track and vehicles with the Automobility mod, or explore the landscape in your very own plane with Immersive Aircraft. The possibilities are endless!

BigChadGuys and the Holy Grail is a more intense experience, with an in-depth questing/progression system, tons of bosses to fight, dungeons to explore, and rewards to be had in this RPG-focused rogue-like adventure and exploration-based modpack.

Playing with friends?

BigChadGuys Plus has a built-in “World Sharing” mod called “e4mc”, which allows you to use the built-in “Open to LAN” feature to host your world from your PC. e4mc routes your Minecraft network traffic through its own servers so that players from outside your local internet network can connect to your game.

To host your game through World Sharing, first load into your Single-player game. When loaded into your world, hit Escape, and then click “Open to LAN” or “Start Co-op”. After clicking Confirm, you will be given a public URL in chat alongside a port. Click the URL (it may look something like “diamond-furnace.e4mc.link”) to copy it, then send this URL to your friends to join normally as if it were a multiplayer server.

If your friends receive a message similar to “Connection refused: no further information” while trying to connect or are able to join but appear to infinitely fall through the void, this usually means the world-sharing servers are full. You might also want to check the status page for e4mc’s servers to see if they are currently experiencing any outages. You’re free to try again later or keep reading for alternative options.

If you are having issues with e4mc, you might also try the “World Host” mod, which works in a similar way. First, uninstall e4mc, and then install the World Host mod in its place. Make sure you close the game completely before adding/removing mods.

If none of these methods work, refer to the “How do I host my own server?” section of the FAQ to set up your own dedicated server.
