In this lab, you will:
- Create an autodesk eagle schematic
The full version of Eagle is free for educational use. However, you must first create an account. You will then use this account to authenticate in the Eagle software and unlock the full set of features.
Eagle is installed on the linux machines within SICE.

You should create the 555 based timer circuit. Additionally, you should place an A (8.5"x11) sized frame on the sheet. Review the autodesk eagle tutorial or eagle manual to figure out how to add a frame.
One of the important workflows in PCB development is relate to to component creation. Follow the following tutorial to learn how to create a pcb component: Component Creation Tutorial.
In our development, we are going to be using the following assembly: Sparkfun ADXL362 Breakout Board. This type of breakout converts a surface mount chip into a 0.1" spaced (same as breadboard) thru-hole pins. We are going to utilize this assembly by plugging the assembly into our PCB. In this section, you need to create a schematic symbol for the entire assembly.
The eagle design files for this assembly are located at the following github site. Note that we want to abstract this entire assembly into a single schematic component. It is just helpful to use the schematic of the assembly to ensure that the pins on your new symbol are correct.
Create a library component for the ADXL_Breakout board. Note that this is note the same as a schematic symbol for the ADXL362 chip. You should add this to a library named cps-labs.lbr.
The submission deadline is before your lab on Friday. Add your eagle schematic file and cps-labs.lbr file to a folder named Lab4 in your CPS-Labs team.
