Commands

Every menu action has a slash-command equivalent for chat-driven workflows. All commands need OP (permission level 2) β€” single-player creative already has it. /dt is shorthand for /dungeontrain and both work everywhere.

Hotkeys

Key Action
X Toggle the command menu.
Z (tap) Open the block-variant menu against the block you're looking at.
Z (hold) + right-click Add the held block to that position's variant pool. Empty hand adds an empty-space entry.
C (tap) Open the container-contents menu against the chest / barrel / hopper / etc you're looking at.
V (tap) Open the template-blocks menu for the plot you're standing in.

X, Z, C, and V are rebindable under Esc β†’ Options β†’ Controls β†’ Dungeon Train.

Train

Command What it does
/dt spawn [count] Spawn a new train with count carriages (default from config).
/dt speed <value> Set train speed in blocks/second. Persists; any live train updates.
/dt carriages <count> Change the default carriage count. Live trains resize.
/dt tracks on|off Toggle whether the bridge auto-generates under the train.

Editor session

Command What it does
/dt editor Enter the editor, teleport to the Carriages plot grid.
/dt editor exit Exit the editor, return to where you came from.
/dt editor carriages Switch to the Carriages category.
/dt editor tracks Switch to the Tracks category.
/dt editor contents Switch to the Contents category.
/dt editor pillar Switch to the Pillars subtree.
/dt editor enter <variant> Teleport directly to the named template's plot.
/dt editor doorghosts on|off Show or hide the Entrance / Exit door labels on carriage, contents and dimensional-carriage plots. On by default.

Plot

Command What it does
/dt save Save the plot you're standing in.
/dt save all Save every plot in the current category, skipping empty ones.
/dt reset Restore the plot from its last save, discarding unsaved edits.
/dt editor clear Wipe interior blocks to air without removing the template.
/dt editor observers on|off Editor Settings β†’ Observers. Off keeps every observer inside an editor plot quiet, hand edits included; saved with the world. Either way the editor's own rewrites (variant previews, resets) never pulse one. See Observers setting.
/dt editor mobs blocks|live Editor Settings β†’ Mobs. Blocks (default): a spawn egg in an editor plot places a frozen, one-hit mob and variant cells with a mob entry show the mob in the preview cycle; Live is the vanilla egg. Saved with the world. See Mobs setting.
/dt editor unsaved List every template with unsaved edits and its first differing blocks (expected -> live, or variants -> edited for a variant-pool change) β€” the same scan behind the pulsing Save icon, in chat and the server log.

Templates

Command What it does
/dt editor new <name> [source] Create a new template. Source is blank, current, or standard (default: blank).
/dt editor save <new_name> Rename the current template β€” or fork it if it's a protected built-in.
/dt editor reset <name> Remove the named custom template. Built-ins can't be removed.
/dt editor label <id> <name…> Set the display label the editor shows for a carriage (blank clears). The id and file stay put, so built-ins work too. contents label <id> <name…> for contents.
/dt editor contents group move <child> <new_parent> Re-parent a contents sub-variant in one step, keeping its weight, gate and Stage links. Lands you in the moved plot.
/dt editor contents reset <id> [all|unparent|promote] Remove a contents template. A group parent needs the mode word β€” all deletes the sub-variants too, unparent makes them top-level (weight/gate/first Stage carried), promote hands the group to the first sub-variant β€” and is refused without one.

Mirroring

Command What it does
/dt editor mirror x|y|z on|off Toggle a mirror axis on the plot you're standing in (any category). Edits reflect live across the plot centre.
/dt editor tracks mirror <kind> <name> x|y|z on|off Toggle a mirror axis on a named track-side template (scripting / out-of-plot).

Off by default everywhere except tunnels (X + Z on). The X β†’ Mirror row has the same toggles. See Templates β–Έ Mirroring.

Track-side templates

Command What it does
/dt editor tracks new <kind> <name> Create a track, pillar, stair, or tunnel template.
/dt editor tracks reset <kind> [all|unparent|promote] Remove the template you're standing in. Same mode rule as contents reset when it heads a group.
/dt editor <tracks|portals> reset <kind> <name> [mode] The same, addressed by name β€” what the editor screen's Remove sends. default is resettable: its files go (bundled copies too in dev mode) and the kind falls back to its built-in geometry.
/dt editor <tracks|portals> label <kind> <name> <label…> Display label for a track-side template (works on bundled rooms, which rename refuses).
/dt editor portals group move <child> <new_parent> Re-parent a dimensional-carriage sub-variant, keeping its weight, gate and Stage links.
/dt editor portals fog <next|auto|on|off> Whether the room you stand in hides its boundary behind fog. Auto follows the walls mode.
/dt editor portals room <name> <setting…> Every room setting β€” length/width/height/size, mode, lock, copies, doorwall, contents, sky, fog, exits, exitevery, exitmove, books… β€” addressed by name instead of by the plot under you. What the editor screen sends for a room you are only looking at.

Carriage parts

Command What it does
/dt editor part new <kind> <name> [source] Create a new part template (floor / walls / roof / doors).
/dt editor part save Save the current part plot.
/dt editor part reset <kind> <name> Remove a part template.
/dt editor part set <variant> <kind> <name> Replace a carriage's part list for a kind with one entry.
/dt editor part add <variant> <kind> <name> Append a part to a carriage's list for a kind.
/dt editor part remove <variant> <kind> <name> Remove a part from a carriage's list.
/dt editor partmenu on|off Toggle the auto-opening Part Variant Menu inside carriage plots.

The reserved part name none means "stamp nothing for this kind."

Weighting

Command What it does
/dt editor weight <variant> <0-100> Set a carriage template's spawn weight.
/dt editor tracks weight <kind> <name> <0-100> Set a track-side template's weight.
/dt editor contents weight <id> <0-100> Set a contents template's weight.
/dt editor layout rooms|halves|group <n|inc|dec> Set how often a group is filled with three Rooms, two Halves or one Group carriage. Bare layout prints all three.
/dt editor shell-size <variant> room|half|full Resize a carriage template and move it to that size's row.
/dt editor pool-move <carriage|whole|contents> <id> <to> [name] Move a template to another pool at its own size (never reshaped); the original is removed. (v0.1291.0)
/dt editor workbench {list|goto|save|test|remove|commit [replace] <id> <kind> [<sub|-> [<name> [<parent>]]]} The Workbench staging category: list, visit, save, test (as its relay kind, without committing β€” v0.1294.0), drop or commit a staged relay build. (v0.1291.0)
/dt editor whole half new <name> [source] A new whole half (corridor-length whole carriage); editor-only for now. (v0.1291.0)
/dt editor shell-wins <variant> on|off Whether the carriage keeps its own blocks where its contents overlap them.
/dt editor half-join wall|bridge|short|random How a pair of Half carriages closes the gap between them.

Weight 0 retires a template without deleting it. Default is 1.

Spawn gating (level + phase)

Beyond weight, each weighted template can be limited to where it spawns β€” a difficulty-level range and a set of worldgen phases.

Command What it does
/dt editor minlevel <variant> inc|dec|<0-1000> Lowest Diff-Level a carriage may spawn at.
/dt editor maxlevel <variant> inc|dec|<-1-1000> Highest Diff-Level; -1 (dec past 0) = no cap ("all").
/dt editor phase <variant> <overworld|nether|void|end> on|off|others Toggle a worldgen phase the carriage may spawn in. others flips every phase except the named one.
/dt editor contents minlevel|maxlevel|phase <id> … The same three, for a contents template.
/dt editor tracks minlevel|maxlevel|phase <kind> <name> … The same three, for a track / pillar / tunnel template.

Defaults β€” min 0, max all, all four phases β€” mean "spawns everywhere", so an untouched template behaves exactly as before. The X menu has matching Min Lv / Max Lv steppers and a Phases selector; the floating world-space panels show the same per row (four O N V E phase letters you click to toggle). See Templates β–Έ Spawn gating.

These edit a template's own gate. If the template is linked to a Stage the Stage's gate wins and the write is inert until you detach β€” the command says so rather than reporting a bare success.

Stages

A Stage is a named, reusable spawn gate that many templates link to. Editing the Stage retunes every linked template at once.

Command What it does
/dt editor stage list List every Stage with its gate.
/dt editor stage new <id> Create a Stage (lowercase a-z0-9_, 1–32 chars) with the default wide-open gate.
/dt editor stage rename <id> <name…> Change a Stage's display name. Its id, and every link, stay put.
/dt editor stage builder <id> <uuid|none> [name…] Credit the Stage to a builder (as a template's builder), or none to clear. The X menu's Built by picker sends this.
/dt editor stage delete <id> Delete a Stage. Templates linked to it fall back to their own inline gate.
/dt editor stage minlevel|maxlevel|phase <id> … Edit the Stage's gate β€” same arguments as the per-template versions above.

Linking templates to a Stage

Command What it does
/dt editor stage apply carriage <id> <stage|custom> Link a carriage to a Stage, or custom to detach.
/dt editor stage apply contents <id> <stage|custom> Same, for a contents template.
/dt editor stage apply tracks <kind> <name> <stage|custom> Same, for a track / pillar / tunnel template.
/dt editor stage apply contents-group <parent> <child> <stage|custom> Same, for a sub-variant member (these may hold several links).

Detaching snapshots the Stage's current gate into the template's inline gate, so nothing moves the moment you unlink.

Stage content sets

Command What it does
/dt editor stage select <id> Focus a Stage β€” preview every carriage for it and default new parts to it. Repeat to toggle off.
/dt editor stage deselect Clear the focused Stage.
/dt editor stage filterparts Hide part plots the focused Stage doesn't use.
/dt editor stage duplicate <id> [newid] Fork a Stage with its parts and their assignments.
/dt editor stage blocks <id> List the Stage's parts and the unique blocks in them.
/dt editor stage replaceblock <id> <from> <to> Swap a block across every part in the Stage β€” NBT and variant sidecars.

Block variants

Command What it does
/dt editor variant list Print every position with a variant pool in the current plot.
/dt editor variant clear Remove the variant entry at the block you're looking at.
/dt editor variant overlay on|off Toggle the white sparkle outline on marked blocks.

Template blocks

Command What it does
/dt editor blocks Open the template-blocks menu for the plot you're standing in β€” lists every block used (with counts), previews on click, and swaps everywhere (with orientation preserved) via the Swap button. Same as pressing V.

See Feature: Template Blocks Menu for the full write-up.

Container variants

Command What it does
/dt debug reroll <prefabId> Re-roll every loaded container BE whose state matches <prefabId>'s source block. One-shot fix for already-spawned carriages whose contents were rolled before a template edit landed.
/dt debug loot-rolls on|off Toggle per-furnace-roll diagnostics β€” K, fill bounds, pinned-slot counts, what each slot picked. Off by default. Also surfaced as a Toggle in the in-world Debug menu.

Packages

Command What it does
/dt package list List every installed package and its state.
/dt package save <name> Save the active package's folder as dtpacks/<name>.zip.
/dt package activate <name> Make <name> the active package β€” new edits land there.
/dt package enable <name> Enable a package's content in the spawn pool.
/dt package disable <name> Disable a package's content without deleting it.
/dt editor import Re-scan dtpacks/ for new zips and folders.
