On the 12th/13th of October 2006 (It went on!) Wil2 Hosted the first known 16 player (plus spectator) game on TASPRING

WRONG! first known was hosted by TradeMark, 8th October 2006, view topic: http://taspring.clan-sy.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=7473

And it doesnt need so good cpu either: TradeMark has 1.4Ghz CPU, 1.5GB memory, 6Mbps/512kbps connection.

Despite the general errors with so many players, the game had very low lag and was fully playable and enjoyable!

The games were all played on the Castles map in 2 teams of 8 v 8, north versus south.

When it was tried first playing on supreme battlefield, the game did work twice, there was not a huge ammount of lag, however due to the server having standard on board graphics (and only PCI-X expansion), it was unplayable and a smaller map of castles was decided.

Server Specs.

The game was hosted on a Dual 3.0ghz Xeon server, with 8GB of memory and a internet connection of 10MB/s (burstable).

The second of the replays was accidently deleted, however the replays for the first and third games are available at the following links:

Wil2 would like to mention that whilst he has a fast machine and can host a game like this, he does suck at the game so do not mock his gameplay! :)
