PSRC calibration update

• PSRC is doing some updated calibration work and will share its latest coefficients with RSG
• @Nagendra to re-run model and summarize results asap

Synthetic population

• surveyed university student population is probably too low
• BKR doesn't have a lot of university students anyway

Tour/trip generation

• Not enough tours; tour gen rates are too low
• PSRC is calibrating this currently
• not enough work tours and too many work-based tours
• Trip rates in the survey were re-weighted; @Mark to review analysis and share with the group
• Trips per tour by purpose in the survey vs. SoundCast/BKR need to be summarized and reviewed/calibrated
• @Nagendra to add trips per tour by purpose summary
• Meal/shop purpose is low and maybe this is why downtown Bellevue is low

Tour/trip lengths

• Tour lengths by purpose too long
• Trip lengths by purpose often too short
• Probably too many trips per tour
• NotFTPT person type is student who is also part-time worker
• Adding tours, and reducing trips per tour, will increase trip lengths

Tour/trip mode

• Not enough tours, but shares look ok
• Survey likely high on transit, walk, bike
• Transit trip lengths too long, walk a little long as well

Time-of-day

• School departure time needs to be more peaked; durations are likely not right since start time looks ok

Assignment results

• @BKR will develop factors to convert the one hour counts to AM, MD, and PM period
• Use 35% for PM peak hour
• @Nagendra - include screenline comparisons table next time so BKR can see individual screenlines as well
• Model is 500k trips under
• Volumes are generally too low on the major facilities - bridges, I-405, on ramps, etc.
• Volume too low from/to Bellevue downtown; all downtown street volumes are low
• Transit has too many boardings
• What's our transfer rate? 470k boardings / 350k trips = 1.3? PSRC is targeting about 1.3 as well

OD results

• Bellevue and Seattle CBDs low
• Trips from Seattle CBD to Bellevue CBD really low
• Probably partially due to low shop/meal tours
