Project Meeting 2016.09.08 - bellevuewa/BKRCast GitHub Wiki
Model Development Update
PSRC provided latest model setup, including all inputs minus employment data
We have successfully run it on our end
We're working on revising all existing inputs to use BKR's new zones and networks
We developed a crosswalk from PSRC zones to BKR zones based on polygon area
We've updated all trip matrices, popsyn files, the parcel file and are working on the networks
Ran into an issue with headways since the transit networks are a little different
We've written the zone-based population sampling procedure
Written in Python / pandas
Reads PSRC hdf5 popsyn file and a TAZ sample rate file and writes a new popsyn file
Tested with PSRC
Added new paid ride share mode to Daysim
Added to trip and tour mode choice models under the HOV nest for now
Will updated nesting diagram and share with team
Utility = constant + HOV2 generalized cost (time, toll, auto operating cost * distance) + cost per mile + fixed cost + person age constants
Tested with PSRC
Will look into 2014 survey data for trips in order to calculate calibration target mode shares
Bellevue staffs are working on updating the zone and network attributes for the PM peak period such as parking cost, TAZ terminal time, link capacities, etc. Shuming requested RSG to provide a complete list of data that are needed before model calibration.
Highway and transit networks for other time periods are being developed.
PSRC updated the allstreets network and shortest paths file and shared with RSG
Documentation Sharing
For other projects, we're using GitHub for software and script management, and also documentation and project management
We agreed to use GitHub and Hu can continue to use OneNotes for his documentation
I will populate it with meeting notes, the scope, etc. to help get it started
Project team to sign-up and I'll you to project (and also Daysim) so you can follow along and edit as needed
Employment Data
PSRC's model run with LEHD employment data looks promising; Stefan working on the comparison
Shuming reviewed the RCW and found a different section that seemed to suggest that agencies other than ESD could provide the data to contractors for business purposes through a contract with OSD.
Shuming asked the PSRC and Redmond attorneys to review
We're waiting on their response; Stefan to check with Mark; Patrick on vacation
