2. Using the PLA Live Map - bell4631/PLA-Live-Map GitHub Wiki
PLA-LiveMap allows a user an overview of all the static wild Pokemon encounters, including known alpha spawn locations, on any of the five given maps. Used alongside the Filter, the user can teleport to each of the spawn points to quickly hunt any targets on the overworld map, and can narrow down Pokemon based on Filter criteria.
Other functionality supported in the tab includes point-and-click teleporting, and the ability to change the overworld map.
Filter Wild Pokemon on Overworld Map
To filter the overworld map, set up any Filters as needed, then navigate back to the PLA-Live-Map. Two additional parameters need to be set:
Shiny Rolls - Default value is set to 1, and should be adjusted accordingly to the Pokedex completion for one or more valid targets:
Value | Prerequisites |
---|---|
1 | Base Shiny Roll |
2 | Research Level at 10 for Target Pokemon |
4 | Perfect Research achieved for Pokemon |
5 | Shiny Charm obtained |
7 | Shiny Charm obtained + Perfect Research achieved for Pokemon |
Near Filtered Limit - Default value is set to 50, and can be changed to determine how many advances are needed to be made to reach the target.
Initial Spawn - The checkbox should be checked if entering the overworld to load the spawn encounters for the first time. This is to ensure the seed advances correctly to the next encounter.
Click on Check Filtered Limit
and the map will search all the overworld spawn points to find any Pokemon that meet the filter requirements. All filtered targets will be marked green on the overworld map:
Advancing Towards a Static Pokemon Target
Click on the Pokeball icon and check to see the value of the Next Filtered
value when inspecting the Pokemon. Advancing the encounter towards the target involves the following steps:
- Catching/scaring/defeating the Pokemon in battle
- Advancing the time by one cycle to make the Pokemon spawn on the overworld
- Repeating steps 1 and 2 while checking the map to verify the encounter is advancing towards the target.
Advancing the time cycle is simple as going back to camp and taking a long rest (e.g. sleeping until midday).
Advancing Towards a Static Alpha Pokemon Target
Click on the Alpha icon and check to see the value of the Next Filtered
value when inspecting the Pokemon. Advancing the encounter towards the target involves the following steps:
- Catching/scaring/defeating the Pokemon in battle
- Advancing the time by three cycles to make the Pokemon spawn on the overworld
- Repeating steps 1 and 2 while checking the map to verify the encounter is advancing towards the target.
Alpha Pokemon take longer to spawn and thus require three long rest periods to go through the time cycles. As this is time-consuming it is generally recommended not to exceed Next Filtered values greater than 10.
Other Functionalities
Pick Another Map
Simply click on the button and the user will be redirected to the main dropdown menu as seen before:
Teleport
⚠️ Use with Caution ⚠️
Click on Teleport
and then click on anywhere on the map to instantly teleport. Adjust the teleport by adjusting the user's Teleport Height
input field to reduce the likelihood of teleporting out of bounds (default value is set to 50).
Teleporting out of bounds will cause the player to fall out of the map and spawn back from the initial spot prior to Teleporting.
You may cancel the teleport anytime by clicking on Cancel Teleport
once the Teleport
button is activated
