Color 1 always gets overridden by Color 2. Which is frustrating if you want to use multiple colors. There probably is a way to utilize color 1, I just have not found it (and I tested a lot of colors and everytime Color 1 overrides it). Funny enough the colors you use for tattoos is exactly what you need. But, that does mean you are limited when designing and glitter doesn't show up very well all the time. Something I found it when you want to blend edges, using black is really helpful. I have pictures to show what happens if you don't use black. If you do solid lines you do not have to use black, you only need it when you are blending the edges of the eyeshadow. I have found that a dark red sometimes work better than the bright red, but that is a trial and error thing regardless. I have added this to the document for makeup mods.
