- how to avoid plagiarism
Time estimated: 1 h
Time taken: 1.5 h
Date started: 2023-01-20
Date completed: 2023-01-20
Procedure
If its something I didn't come up with, must cite the source
Don't forget to cite everything used and accessed
- in Wiki: use text tag
- in R: comment the source
- for image: URL + author + context
- make sure the links are the original source
- if copying code: URL where you got it + the author
- use APA style
- if not sure what to source, ask
- you can't submit the work you did previously, you must cite it
- you can't go manually change your results when the code doesn't work. Don't change the result from the code manually, because when you re-run that program and code the results will not change to the one you did manually.
Task 4 example of 3 referencing types:
- referencing part of a article: use APA style and paraphrase the findings in your own words
- referencing a piece code from online: URL of site you got it + the author of the code
- referencing a classmates journal: URL of site you got it + author
