Current owner rule — 2026-10-07: our own CAD and GPU engine; external projects are references only

The owner clarified directly: we are building our own engine. CAD implements our native language/parser/compiler, geometry/topology, constraints, intersections/trims/Boolean operations. GPU displays our own native results. OCP/OCCT/OpenCascade.js/ClassCAD/Impeller/Pascal are reference material only, never our product/prototype backend/runtime dependency. All earlier preferred-external-kernel/feasibility/adoption direction below is SUPERSEDED historical planning evidence. Native own-engine628630631 remain valid and integrated; broader commercial capabilities still require our implementation and evidence.

Planner stopped the incorrect635636 external direction immediately. Both Works confirmed clean preparations only: no product edits/commits/builds, OCP import/kernel/subprocess operation, external installation/download or integration. GPU claim635/clean branch and CAD clean branch/helper preparation/evidence are preserved. Source task scope is now corrected: 636 own circular-hole plate implements own native rational circle/trimmed cap/wall/shared-edge topology and own tessellation; 635 own-CAD GPU bridge consumes only that real native data and maintains exact revision-qualified selection. No external output is wanted. These corrected tasks are assigned, not completed. A bounded analytic cut family is not general Boolean or a solid/manufacturing certification.

The owner asked CAD to reference Impeller; request delivered once. CAD read commit772900e1cf470d16a31187a7fa91163b2b571690: useful parameter/feature/sketch gesture/latest-input lifecycle, while ClassCAD is not reused and exposed kernel algorithms are not claimed from that application. The owner asked GPU to reference Pascal Editor and its repository; request delivered once for coherent tree/selection/transform/camera/command/viewport structure. No external engine/package/runtime is substituted. shadcn UI direction and our own source-first/native ownership remain.

The real own-native geometry/topology/source/evaluator/UV/provenance stays authority. Derived circular trim polygons are mesh approximation, not authored circles; no fakeUV/fakeSurface/shader-only hole. GPU final real flow waits for actual own-CAD636 outputs. ONE affected build/short source run per scope; full unit/reader/packed/parity/repo/gallery/numerical/performance validation remains deferred. Current commercial Part/Assembly/Drawing target, accepted/candidate recovery and stable authored IDs/revision-qualified topology remain; external reference notes634 are not adoption instructions. Each exact task and merged head passed its affected CAD library build, original short API/file/5x5 native packet flow and ONE real /cad.js source-host adoption of the new API/source0 Model. No dist input/registration inventory gate, parent replay, native correction/runtime failure or unchanged editor rebuild. Per-function usage and limits below remain unchanged. New interactive controls/pixels remain pending; these receipts do not prove commercial B-Rep/solids/persistent topology or general multi-span matching.

Existing owner tabs/drafts and live626 checkout remain unchanged; final develop does not automatically replace that live source host. Commercial Part/Sketch/Assembly/Drawing/Recovery design, preserved629 product edits, original editor/native failures, render manifest/kiosk data and approved Release0.12.2 remain. No UI/dependency/general-kernel implementation or browser URL retry. Broader validation is deferred, not passed.

634 continues bounded identity/kernel design preparation. Its local OCP file/version metadata and missing examined OpenCascade.js package are feasibility inputs; no import/Boolean/meshing runtime pass is claimed. 2026-10-07 owner design refinement: complete commercial CAD, native identity/kernel preparation634

The owner explicitly asks to redesign the editor completely as a commercial CAD program. The latest local GPU design has five target views: Part/feature, Sketch, Assembly, Drawing and Recovery. Primary architecture is authored native language/typed IR, feature/constraint/dependency engine, an explicit precise B-Rep kernel boundary, native topology/provenance, GPU display, revision-pinned instances/mates and drawings, durable native files/recovery and declared exchange subsets. These are design targets, not implemented solids/solvers/mates/drawings or commercial readiness. Earlier Box/Circle scene envelope/limits are preserved integration evidence, not the commercial document architecture. Shadcn remains permitted for the full UI; no dependencies or product code were installed during design.

Planner preserved supporting 632/633 as un-dispatched design candidates, reconciled their body notices and prepared 634 native identity/kernel feasibility in existing CAD Work.634 owns two bounded read-only design artifacts: exact current native ID/API mapping and one recommended plate80x40x8 -> radius5 through cut -> width100 rebuild kernel contract. No runtime experiment/install/download/independent reader or broad test campaign. Document/Feature/Sketch/Constraint/Parameter/Body identities are distinct from display labels, revision-qualified topology tokens and transient kernel handles. Assemblies distinguish pinned part definitions from instances/mates; drawings identify source revisions/stale/detached references. No automatic source migration or claimed persistent face matching across Boolean changes.

A backend-independent shape adapter is the canonical direction. OCCT is a preferred feasibility candidate, not an adopted/installed/current BaroCSS kernel. The official OCAF guide describes reference-key data, transactions/history and operation topology evolution; OpenCascade.js is the project's own JavaScript/WebAssembly port reference. They support architecture research, not our browser binding coverage, numerical quality or topology identity guarantees.634 must resolve actual API/version/worker-or-existing-local constraints before the next executable kernel feature. GPU reported local HTML/SVG/control-link structural checks for the design artifact. Browser verification of the owner file:// tab was denied by URL policy and no workaround was attempted; no browser visual validation pass is claimed. Original full design/native/editor evidence and Release0.12.2 remain preserved. The following earlier checkpoints retain their actual chronological status and are superseded only for future product direction.

Unified source-first editor615 — prototype integrated locally

615 final completion: final task 2a6e9cdc848c8e60f72f4f7cfe6106a7fa936c47 -> local merge f28594bc0cca4695cf36761053bf7d791807d14e. Exact same source-only representative run passed task14.537571417s/merge13.909316167s, exit0; final affected CAD/GPU artifact builds also exit0. Actual CAD/GPU dist were unavailable during the editor run. Same-server original source change appeared after browser reload without library build/server restart, then original source was restored. Actual native Box/radius parameter edits, genuine accepted file download/read/upload/Open, dirty/error/view controls and desktop/compact layout passed. GL0/errors[], actual SwiftShader backend. Planner inspected both exact merged desktop/compact captures. 615 is CLOSED/prototype-integrated, not fully validated. One primary editor contains the native object/feature list, actual common viewport and selected properties. Nine native adapters are registered; the representative completed run exercises Box and driven-radius documents, not every legacy mode or the whole gallery. One native document/type is active at a time; mixed-type project/assembly persistence and full picking/gizmo/history remain backlog. Fresh supported tab5 shows the actual editor at the current loopback source host; previous owner tabs/drafts were preserved.

CAD/GPU package main/types/exports now directly expose ./src/index.ts, matching existing kit/browser/server source entry conventions. pnpm dev:cad starts the source-transform editor host and pnpm dev:gpu is the configured GPU scene source host. There is no library dist prebuild in these development commands. pnpm test:editor:source is the sole representative source-only editor flow. The actual615 run proves the CAD editor source host and both original source dependency graphs; a full independent GPU-scene campaign is not claimed. Current editor usage and limits.

Direct owner request2026-10-07: replace scattered primary samples with a usable unified editor comparable to Three.js Editor. 615 is dispatched once/active GPU implementation. One primary /workspace.html shell: tool menu, original object/feature list, active actual viewport, selected native properties/parameters, real New/Apply/Discard/Save/Open/Fit/Edges and clear draft/error status. Existing supported CAD tools join the same shell through native adapters; future revolve UI joins this editor. Original BaroCSS CAD/GPU APIs/files/rendering remain authority. No new Three.js runtime dependency. One active native document/type at this checkpoint; mixed-type scene/project/history/gizmos remain backlog.615 is planned/active, not a completed editor.

The owner also requires local package src imports without dependencydist builds on every edit. Actual repository peers kit/browser/server expose src/index.ts in main/types/exports, with workspace:* dependencies. CAD/GPU currently expose dist and their examples serve dist; this is the observed mismatch.615's updated contract aligns source-first CAD/GPU entries and uses existing local transform/dev tooling. Its required actual source smoke starts with isolateddist unavailable and observes a bounded source change after reload without build/server restart. CAD #572 original planar face with one strict polygon hole is native implemented at a6c05ad4; actual build/demo has net84 square-hole and net670 concave-hole, preserved source/native identities and crossing/touch rejection. #575 actual one-hole face tessellation is now native implemented at 10a7ef78: real SurfaceD1/pcurve/Curve packets and native outer/inner paths, hole/notch excluded, affected build/API demo passed. CAD actively owns #576 original through-hole shell. Cutout-face usage/manual. GPU continues the remaining native572/575 serial queue; native566/567/569/571 are already prototype-integrated.

Next named increments: original-shell GPU edges/selection, visible hole-face consumer, feasible hole-profile extrusion, workplane sketch UI547 and bounded GPU rounded-box primitive. These require their own satisfied dependencies/contracts before ready. Wider commercial feature inventory remains open. Affected build and short actual run are the current prototype checkpoint; broader validation is deferred. Historical full-gate/old NOW assignments below preserve chronology, not current instructions.

EFFECTIVE OWNER DIRECTION — IMPLEMENT THE PROTOTYPE FIRST

2026-10-06 direct owner instruction supersedes every contrary test gate in historical Issue bodies, policy headers and earlier narrowed addenda. GPU and CAD must persist with implementation. Build the affected code, perform one short real API/demo/browser run, record the exact committed/merged SHA and actual result, then continue implementation. Fix concrete build/runtime failures.

Do not block these prototype children on unit suites, independent CAD readers, packed/archive replay/parity, pnpm check, package-wide guards or whole-gallery/workspace regression. Do not invoke verify-local.py when it injects those deferred campaigns. Existing completed full evidence is preserved, not relabelled. Functional behavior/ownership/bounds remain implementation requirements; exhaustive validation is recorded for later, not claimed as passed now.

GPU alone reconciles and locally integrates each child once. A successful affected build and actual smoke is the current implementation/integration completion gate. State the result as a prototype build/run checkpoint, with broader validation deferred; never describe it as fully validated or commercial parity. Record any untested compatibility/numerical/resource/file cases in the deferred ledger under goal503. Packages remain private/local; approved Release0.12.2 and its unrelated release gates remain unchanged.

Priority: finish queued native integrations promptly, show practical Box creation/size editing/native intent Save/Open in workspace546, then shaded original CAD edges560. CAD finishes its existing functional claim and immediately takes the next executable agreed feature. Final target remains a commercial-grade engine/application with general geometry/topology/features/constraints/documents/assemblies/exchange/robustness/performance; small prototype families are intermediate steps.

No repeat owner confirmation, standing Review, new Work/model/schedule/dependency/download/live-model run or product push/release/deployment is authorized by this change. This addendum is the current policy, not a request to remove functional input validation or hide real failures.

Owner-selected final target

2026-10-06: the owner explicitly set a commercial-class CAD tool as the final objective and selected BOTH directions: parametric mechanical part design first, then NURBS curve/surface design. This vision and live goal #503 supersede older foundation-only goal wording. Earlier original-engine results remain valid evidence in CSS GPU/CAD engine history.

Users should design, dimension, modify, assemble, validate, save/reopen and exchange useful parts and freeform shapes in one coherent interactive tool. Original @barocss/cad native geometry/features and @barocss/gpu rendering form the foundation. CSS-shaped source and structured native data remain documented authoring interfaces; routine users operate modelling tools without having to hand-write CSS. Actual native geometry is authoritative and screen triangles are derived views.

Functional backlog and own modelling language

Owner2026-10-06 chose a feature-first delivery policy: 15capability groups/129required items and linked bounded feature Issues define the queue. Research is attached to a concrete blocker of an agreed feature. Own native model specification is authoritative; external file schemas are adapters. These stages are product direction, not ready implementation assignments. Larger geometry operations may first require original intersections, trimming, B-Rep, constraint or persistent topology machinery. Each capability is narrowed to an executable researched slice with explicit dependencies before an Execute claim. The two directions can progress independently where actual dependencies and disjoint ownership allow.

Current foundation and immediate queue

Current completed foundation includes original bounded scene/NURBS engines, actual native-surface-to-GPU drawing, original extrusion/D1/boundaries/fixed incidence, a verified workspace, actual typed creation/editing, local project Save/Open and original restricted outward axis-box shell. The latest shell integration is6be6998d44ba749f1d7f818c45fb0a0b1755576d. It retains solid:false/solidProductImplemented:false; the next derived original solid report remains #524 until its own gates pass.

• NOW GPU: #526 actual six-face box transfer, after completed525 history and524 native/current-host gates. Current camera/project/schema/primitive editing remain verified.
• NOW CAD: #543 structured compiler has claimed from completed524 native/current-host baseline56f851df. STEP research527 is OPEN blocked on explicit final-schema/no-processing/entity-to-reader proof gaps; no product writer is ready.
• NEXT gated transfer: #526 six-face native box to GPU, native source->face->packet->real PNG lineage, units/indices/normals/bounds/resource identity.
• NEXT after transfer: practical Box Create/Update and explicit whole-box project/history representation, separately scoped from the existing single-surface file.
• NEXT after validated solid: original bounded STEP schema/writer/read-back feasibility; primary reference notes exist, actual protocol selection and full entity dependencies remain open.
• NEXT product discovery: smallest useful constrained sketch/profile and editable-feature-graph research based on actual document/native IDs; NURBS authoring remains a named roadmap direction.

Native-query diagnostic #517 remains lower priority and needs current history/project lifecycle reconciliation. Routine core/package/consumer milestones do not complete the commercial product goal.

Acceptance and comparison

Track four evidence levels separately: researched subset, implemented native capability, verified interactive workflow and release-ready product. A foundation box/STEP demonstration proves its supported subset; full product acceptance follows representative task sets covering both owner-selected directions.

Representative future task families include dimensioned mechanical brackets/enclosures, profile-driven feature edits with dependency recomputation, freeform curves/lofts/surfaces, and multi-part alignment. Select actual reference tasks with the owner when the relevant capabilities exist. Measure geometric correctness, whole-task completion, interaction recovery, native/file identity, runtime and memory with controlled same-environment comparisons. Do not declare parity from feature-name lists or fixture counts.

Retain exact source/native/feature/constraint/topology/preview/actual PNG/project/export/reader SHA/hash lineage. Unsupported operations and numerical limits must be explicit. A reader's acceptance, Euler count or positive volume alone cannot certify arbitrary solids. Keep original supported validity distinct from selected floating comparisons and sampled preview accuracy.

Ownership and operating boundaries

Planner owns final vision, current goal/Issues/Wiki, research adoption and executable scopes. GPU and CAD retain disjoint implementation ownership; GPU alone serially integrates clean prechecked branches and runs exact merged-head native/current UI/file/export checks before closure. Preserve active claims and prepare one genuinely ready task per available lane plus3–5 useful candidates; IDLE at a real dependency is valid.

Development remains local and GPU/CAD packages private experimental until an approved release scope changes. The commercial target adds no automatic product push/PR/deploy/publish, paid/live-model run, download, extra permanent Work/model/supervisor/schedule or inactive Review restart. Existing approved Release0.12.2/inherited render metadata/kiosk recordings remain preserved. Original engine implementation and independent OCP test consumption remain distinct.

All new public records are English. Owner messages are concise Korean and focus on major completion, material failures or actual decisions. Continue preparing the next smallest useful feature against this final product goal without routine approval prompts.
