In Manage Programs, one way to add Movies, TV Shows, Videos, and Video Channels is through the search functionality.

Before searching, there are a number of options that can be selected. Most of these are discussed in Search Defaults, but of particular importance is the Selection, which determines what type of results you will receive.

Be aware that Movies & TV Shows results are capped at 100, no matter if you put a larger number in Quantity. This is unlike Videos and Video Channels which do not have limits. However, the more you want of those, the longer it will take the result to return, and it still may max out before that number in reached. Also, the totality of results, no matter the type, is the gross value. Hidden items, previously bookmarked ones, videos below the designated video length, and YouTube Shorts are filtered out to make the net list that is seen. In other words, if you set a return for 20 results, but 15 of them already bookmarked or hidden or match the other filter criteria, you will only see 5 selections.

After making your search (or entering nothing to see trending items), the default order is by best-match / popularity (by type). You can then choose to have the results re-display in alphabetical order and/or use the filter functionality (i.e., see only "Movie" or "TV Show" results).

You also have the option to search new and recent releases from your providers instead, and even set up a feed to get this updated automatically. These ones, though, are always displayed alphabetically. No matter the method, the process of selecting from among the search results is the same.
