Usage ‐ SLM ‐ Bookmarked Programs ‐ Special Actions ‐ Stream Files - babsonnexus/stream-link-manager-for-channels GitHub Wiki
You might have a link to a piece media directly and, thus, would want to create a "Stream File" instead of a default "Stream Link", the latter of which would launch an app and go to that content. In this case, you would select the Special Action of Make STRM.
In order for a Stream File to be created, you must also fill in the Stream Link/File Override (Video Link for Videos), which is the direct link to the content. In the example shown above, the public domain Movie Suddenly (1954) is available on archive.org at the address https://archive.org/download/suddenly/suddenly.mp4. Putting this link in the appropriate field and setting the Special Action makes it so that Movie is available as a Stream File and can be watched natively in the client player. It is important to note that with Stream Files, the client being used to play the video must have access to the address it is pointed at.
