At the program level, there is a field selection known as the Bookmark Action.

The list of options available will vary by object type (Movie, TV Show, Video Group). However, In most cases, this will be left as None, meaning the program will be treated normally. Even when there is a different value, generally it will not be changed. That said, the options are:

  • Hide: When choosing to hide a Movie or TV Show so it no longer shows up in search/feeds, the Bookmark Action is Hide. The same can be done with a Video Group, but it is not necessary because there is an internal one that SLM uses for hidden Videos. Hidden Movies and TV Shows do not have individual details as those are deleted. For instance, if an TV Show has episodes and you change its Bookmark Action to Hide, then all those episodes will be removed. Conversely, if it was hidden and now you change it to any of the other choices, then those episodes will be added back.

  • Disable Get New Episodes: For TV Shows in particular, your bookmark may be for an older title that is no longer putting out episodes. In these cases, it is not worth the time and resources to have SLM continue to search for new episodes. As such, there is the ability to Disable Get New Episodes.

  • Import New Episode Metadata: In the opposite situation for TV Shows, sometimes a program continues to add episodes and you want the item-level metadata for them. In that case, selecting Import New Episode Metadata will make sure those are loaded with the newly discovered episodes, as well as clean up prior ones that may have certain metadata updates like corrected release dates and episode titles.

  • Sync Online Playlist: Video Playlists that have been imported can also continue to be sync'd when new content is added to the list, like it is a new episode. More details are available here.
