If you have a connection set up to Channels DVR, you can also interface with the clients (i.e., AppleTV, Android/Google TV, FireTV, etc...) through an API and other methods. In order to ease these interactions, the Channels DVR Clients page of Streaming Library Manager was developed.

Here, there are several functions available. At the onset, you will automatically see a list of clients and certain details about them. As with other tables in MTM, it is completely searchable and filterable to find what you are looking for. However, in most instances this will be unnecessary and you can collapse the pane. This is because there is a dropdown that is populated with the list of clients to work with, albeit just the ones seen as 'local'.

Selecting one of those and clicking View Log will get you the log details from that client:

This can be especially useful if you are troubleshooting or just curious. Additionally, you can also send a notification message to any of the selected local clients:

So long as a video is playing (either as a live station or a recording/file/Stream File) within the Channels DVR application, the notification will be visible for the amount of seconds you set (default 30):
