Depending upon user needs, there are various "Editions" of Streaming Library Manager that will provide tight integration with downstream media clients that actually play/launch the content. The edition that is in use is determined in the Settings area under Editions.

Below describes each of the Editions and some potential use cases for why an end-user may want a specific one.

Streaming Library Manager for Channels DVR

Channels DVR Integration is on by default. You have the option to turn it off if you are not a Channels DVR user or have a special use case where it makes sense not to have it on. It will hide everything related to Channels DVR (including mentions of it in text and logos). Further, any actions that try to connect to Channels DVR are disabled, such as running a refresh in the server and connecting metadata. You can also ignore any of the settings related to Channels DVR mentioned elsewhere.

Further, the Prune' function in Channels DVR add-on option is active by default, which means that the program will initiate a delete in Channels DVR for any missing personal media, not just Stream Links/Files. You may decide that you do not want this to run automatically.

Streaming Library Manager for Media Players

Aside from Channels DVR, there are other tools that accept Stream Links/Files as valid media files that can be played/launched from inside their clients. For instance, Infuse allows the same use, but has slightly different requirements. As such, users can turn on Media Players Integration in order to make this connection possible, as well as modify certain file naming options to align to their Media Player's need. Do note that there is a priority order, so if Channels DVR Integration is on, it will take precedent over this option. Specifically, this option will become disabled.

Streaming Library Manager Solo Edition

If all integrations into engines like Channels DVR and other Media Players are turned off, Streaming Library Manager will turn into Solo Edition. In this mode, if you are using Stream Link/File Manager, no Stream Link/File files will be created on system, but all other processes will run as regular. In other words, the Stream Links are still generated, but can only be launched from within the menus of this application. This is more common for someone not using Stream Link/File Manager and/or who does not need any integrations into their Media Player, especially Channels DVR.
