Legacy of the Dragonborn Safehouse and You - azraerl/serenity GitHub Wiki
This page is a brief on what a new player should expect when accessing the Legacy Safehouse.
The Safehouse:
The safehouse is unlocked after a number of displays have been added (50 Displays) you'll get mailed a key after reaching that point. Though rumor has it, the previous owner was a tad bit paranoid and may have built a secret entrance outside the gallery. Hint: the smell of flowers and pine is a wonderful way to leave the house.
The first floor:
Once inside the safehouse, by whichever means you did, there is a gated (but not locked) room on the mail floor. This is the weapon and armor sort area. In the center of the room is the sell chest. Anything put inside will be sold for some amount of it's value. (it is lower at first, but will increase after some time up to half) Then a day or so later, the gold from the sale will be deposited into the sales locked box on the cabinet by the front door. Sales will only start after asking Auryen about selling all your junk. Another note, is that player crafted items will not be as valued as world found ones, so players who craft stuff should manually sell it to NPC vendors.
Crafting room
This room features everything you'd need, Including a replica and archeology station. Each bench will have inventory containers holding all your sorted items. Starting on the left we have: the manual sort chest for specific items. Anything put inside will be appropriately sorted. (anything not sorted will simply stay in this chest until you remove them)
Next we have the automatic, take it out of your inventory and sort it sort, chest. This will grab supplies and loot of various categories and sort them to their appropriate chests in the safehouse.
The wall behind the auto sort chest has a number of square shelves. Each has a different set of inventory type within. By using the individual items on that shelf, you will toggle the auto sort chest filter system, meaning you can tailor the automatic process to include or exclude entire categories of items. (for example, i have toggled potions in this image, meaning potions will stay in my inventory no matter what, when i use the supply sort chest)
On that same wall is the craftloot system. The craftloot system is a feature of lotd that when enabled will automatically take all the appropriate crafting materials for a given crafting station and temporarily add them to your inventory, opening the crafting, and letting you craft. Once you leave the crafting menu, the items will automatically be sorted back to their containers.
Continuing left we have the leather station, a tanning rack, the armor bench, a grinding stone, and the forge.
Along the back wall we have a smelter, the enchanting station, and the alchemy station.
From the right we have the archeology bench, the replica bench, the clutter chest, a wood chopping block, and the staff crafting station.
Finally, there are 8 mannequins for your use:
Everything else and the kitchen sink
The first floor also features a dining room and a full kitchen as well as a wonderful living room with a fireplace.
Entry nook
From the entrance, we have a cabinet with some neat features: A book return. This is where books are sorted, they can be further sorted into the library from there. The sort locations for scrolls, journals, and notes. The sales lockbox. And keys.
Living room
The living room includes a fireplace (compatible with campfire) and a wood sort location, as well as, some nice furniture.
The Dining room
Besides the lavish table, there's two hutches for silver and dwemer ware.
The Kitchen
The kitchen is the sort location for food items.
As well as a oven and cooking stove.
A liquor cabinet
Some clutterish storage areas.
Regular dishware hutch.
And even the kitchen sink!
Upstairs
Upstairs we have three rooms. In the center is your bedroom, we will get back to that in a second. The two rooms off to the left or right of the top of the stairs are customizable. You can purchase receipts of goods from the bits and pieces vendor in Solitude. Once purchased, these two rooms will be appropriately filled.
Your bedroom
The center door leads to your personal bedroom.
You have a bath.
A cloak closet.
Various sorted chests, including clothing and jewelry. The fate card box, and the achievements gold box.
The outfit system is something i wont touch on, but know it exists, and lets you customize outfits for yourself.
The previous owner, as we have already said was a tad bit paranoid, and they hide a secret room, a safe room, if you will. Take a seat at your desk and ponder hard, if I was a crazy person, where would I hide a switch.
Hope this guide helps in experiencing all that is the lotd safehouse.
