FAQ - azraerl/serenity GitHub Wiki
The following FAQ page is an accumulation of questions and answers from various users in the #serenity-chat put together originally by Kazu#1726 and being improved/expanded by community.
It is intended to be used for the Serenity II, modlist that is publicly available from the automated modlist installer Wabbajack. The most prominent mod included in this list is Requiem - The Roleplaying Overhaul, along with a substantial amount of changes and additions from Experience, Static Skill Leveling, LOTD, 3DNPC, Wyrmstooth, Requiem - Enhanced Grimoire and Special Feats, and many more mods that seek to touch almost every aspect of Skyrim in order to provide a beautiful, immersive, and jam-packed adventure to the player.
IF YOU HAVE INSTALLATION RELATED QUESTIONS MAKE SURE TO LOOK AT THE SERENITY README FIRST
- Scroll up the left panel of Serenity's portable Mod Organizer 2, to see a version stamp;
- If you downloaded the modlist directly from Wabbajack, you’re on current stable version;
- You can try out the beta versions via the directions in the #serenity-teasers chat in the Emporio’s Emporium Discord
- For further version details please see Changelog
Go to Requiem in the MCM Menu and click on the Atmosphere tab. Select the slider for killmove Health Threshold and set the value to be greater than 1%, up to 100% to allow killmoves at X% health up to full health.
Go to Mod Organizer 2 (MO2) and look for the SSE Gameplay Tweaks in the left-hand pane. Go into the GamePlayTweaks.config.txt
and edit BlockPotionUse.BlockFoodInCombat
= true

Go to MO2 and look for the powerofthree’s Tweaks mod in the left hand pane. Go into the po3_Tweaks.ini

- Adding mods to a Wabbajack list is generally unsupported, see Rule 11:
If you make modifications to these Modlists, you do so at your own risk. Any discussion of changes to modlists should be done in #<modlist>-community-additions.
- First of all, avoid reporting issues with modlist if you made any changes to the list. And if you absolutely must report, make sure you say upfront which changes has been done - or simply install clean copy of Serenity and see if issue is reproduceable.
- Back-up you list and load order, always have a restore point to go back to before installing mods. Do so at your own risk. Try to figure things out yourself before asking for help. A lot of mods require significant amounts of work to patch for requiem and this list due to the extensive amount of changes from vanilla Skyrim.

Yes, look into the quest - Promises to Keep.Infusions are added by Requiem - Enhanced Grimoire and are essentially spells that apply a magic effect to any weapon with the infused enchantment. The effect scales linearly with skill level, and is not affected by perks whatsoever besides initial spell cost and duration. The enchantment can be received by disenchanting the infused dagger available via console command or merchant.
Go into the MCM menu in-game and check the ESF: Companions tab to see the requirements needed to progress the appropriate questline.
If you have a Woodcutter’s axe, you can go to any log pile in town or near lumber mills and cut wood down. You can also forage for wood via the Harvest Wood power.
Yes, please refer to the list below:
- Non-metal doors and containers, up to adept level, can be bashed open with a weapon hit, by characters that are sufficiently brawny;
- Knock spells, which fall under the alteration school;
- Knock scrolls, which can usually be purchased from court wizards and similar vendors cover a one time use of unlocking up to adept or expert (Scroll of Knock Rank 2) level locks;
- Some followers have lockpicking capability and if you provide them with lockpicks can be asked to do so.
So there's a few different methods and they span across various character builds. Simply not having a method of opening locks is also completely viable. Aside from the occasional Companions radiant quest that sees an object in a locked metal chest, very little, if any essential content has a hard requirement of opening a lock - and as a rule such locks have a key hidden somewhere.
Only wooden chests and doors can be bashed open. The formula is (2 * Current Health) + Current Stamina >= Difficulty Threshold
. Difficulty thresholds are 350, 450, and 550 for Novice, Apprentice, and Adept locks respectively. Pro Tip: Alcohol is a very easy way to increase your current health above the threshold.
Nothing. Edit the damage taken and done values in the Requiem tab from the MCM menu to adjust difficulty.
These are Fate Cards added by LOTD. Please check the wiki to see locations of them, and how they can be turned into Decks of Fate to provide stat bonuses and effects for your character. They are useful, though it will take some time collecting them.
Carry weight will naturally increase once your max health/stamina is above 120 HP.
The formula is 4 * sqrt( Health * 0.8 + Stamina * 0.2 - 110 )
. Also there are many additional ways to increase carry weight, see not exhaustive list below:
- Campfire and LOTD backpacks;
- Campfire/SunHhelm survival perks (if you have SunHelm enabled);
- Sleeping gives CW bonus for a day (if you do not have SunHelm enabled);
- LOTD Archeology perks;
- Bags of Holding, which are rare, handplaced drops in Requiem that give +50 CW;
- Your horse can be used as a portable chest by using the Examine power on it;
- LOTD adds Rain’s Shelter, and portable tent with access to the LOTD museum storage.
