5.2 Fusion 360: The Case Body - axolstudio-ca/Introductory-Guide GitHub Wiki

Next we will create the top half of the case. We will select the outer area and extrude this by 8.5mm.

As a result you should end up with something like this:

From here we will rename this body 2 as top piece. To work on the bottom piece, it will be highly beneficial to turn off the plate and the top piece to allow us to work with the full sketch. To do this, select the eyeball beside the bodies that we want to turn off and it should be greyed out after clicking it. This should result in the plate and the top piece disappearing off the workspace.

Next we will select all the areas inside the sketch and extrude it 10mm down.

Next we will open up the pocket for the PCB and other components to fit in. To do this we will select the offset rectangle by 0.5mm that we created. We will use the extrude function to cut away at this space and create a pocket with the depth of 8mm.

From here rename body3 to Bottom Piece.
