1. Warning & Preface & Disclaimer - axolstudio-ca/Introductory-Guide GitHub Wiki

Before you bash me for doing things incorrectly and inefficiently I made this guide using methods in CAD using minimal tools and simple methods so that even people that have never touched CAD can take a shot at following through the guide.

Have an amazing idea and want your idea to become reality? Sounds amazing it can’t be that hard right? Well the truth is that the designing process is very time-consuming and expensive. Designing keyboards is not a cheap process. If your goal is to develop something to be mass-produced, I highly suggest having at least 7,000 USD for your first few prototypes. It is best considered that this amount is unrecoverable is what you pay to trade for knowledge. This amount may seem like a lot but throughout the process of prototyping, you will learn a lot and make a lot of mistakes. This is the unfortunate reality and especially if this is your first keyboard. This statement is not meant to be a gatekeeper but rather a warning that it simply is very expensive. There is no easy way to avoid this as the easiest way to learn is from your mistakes. The reason why is that iteration is important in the designing process, and you want each prototype to further enhance and make your design better. People that are successful now have spent countless hours experimenting and iterating on their designs while also spending a lot of money during this process. This process is very expensive for the average person however is required to deliver a quality product. That being said, this guide is more to serve as a taste of the process of designing keyboards.

Before you move on I want you to read the following page from ai03's wiki.

https://wiki.ai03.com/books/case-and-plate-design/page/brutally-honest-truths-of-designing-cases

IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO READ THIS AND UNDERSTAND THE CONTENTS I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH.

Although the statements in the page there are harsh, it is, unfortunately, the reality.
