According to the police report of the 1924 Massacre, she identified his body.

The investigators visited her on 10 November 1934. She told them she used to manage Richard's money for him but towards the end, this became harder to do and he would generally be harder to talk to. As he started going to the parties, he became more dramatic, taking risks for no reason and becoming more hostile. After his death, the police visited to ask if he was on drugs then there were a series of tabloid stories. She had heard rumours about what went on at the parties but believed Echavarria was a charlatan.
