Session 18 - 29th Jun 2025 In-game date: Saturday 24th November 1934 - about 11pm The band give the vibes that they are deadly scared and really want out. They acknowledge that they want out but are afraid that they will not be allowed to leave with their lives. Konovalov seems to be able to keep the investment “safe”, Brooks is more unstable, he seems to have maimed some of his men - some are missing fingers. The band managed to re-do the route and they found out the address where they record. It is a ruined hacienda next to a house. The entrance is through a basement entrance in the hacienda. Inside, there is a tunnel that leads to the recording studio. Sergei will provide for the band 4 days “safe house” at a hotel in case something happens About 12am Sunday morning, at breakfast: First a drive around to take lay of the land:
Wooden planks surround the Hacienda A padlock locks the entrance from inside A person is inside, smoking and pacing around and carrying a rifle Brick walls surrounding the house Two people guard the entrance (behind the iron wrought gate) At sunset, the investigators drive back, carrying weapons. They climb over the gate and remove the padlock from inside using boltcutters – they enter, ambush and subdue the guard - tying him up. Then they find a metallic door to the basement, of new construction. Again they use the bolt cutters to remove the next padlock, and descent to the basement. It is an empty room, with two exits in the direction of the house. One is an old Aztec era wide tunnel that can be accessed through an arch. The other one runs parallel to the Aztec tunnel but it is of much newer construction (as in, max a month or two old), and has running bulb lights hanging from the ceiling. The investigators follow the narrower tunnel, and mid-way they find a metallic door to the left (the tunnel continues in the direction to the house). Entering the (unlocked) door, they arrive to a high-tech control room for a recording studio. Two massive windows open to two recording rooms. The one on the left is shuttered, the one in the right is not. There are master records for 5 records / songs, titled: De La Luz Cancion del Cuco Armonia de los Dioses Caricia de los labios Grunido de la montana The investigators play the last one, and they experiment (William, Nolan and Ralph) a trance like, where they remember a mountain with a massive gash on the side that opens to a fleshy gullet/throat-like opening inside it. The investigators are compelled to draw what the remember. Mikhail takes the drawings, and Nolan also takes the master records. The continue and they find an inner hall with several doors. The ones to the left and right, the investigators presume that they lead to the recording studios. The one purely to the north and the one to the north west, are unclear where they go. They open the door to the recording studio that was shuttered, which they find after going through a sound isolation chamber. Investigating the studio, they find a secret door. They go through it and find themselves inside a much larger Aztec chamber (as big as a house size recording studio has been built inside). They see the other end of the Aztec tunnel going back. Going around the chamber they see that there is another door to the north of the recording studio, potentially the one that they saw from the inner hall. The only other thing is a beautiful and very wide set of stairs of Aztec period going down. From there, they hear a song in the distance, it is the same song that they played earlier “Grunido de la montana”, but much more powerful, as it seems like there are two voices singing it in harmony. The investigators try to decide what to do. One plan of action is to delay further actions while Mikahil and somebody else go to try to find dynamite (a credit rating roll will be needed to procure it that same night).
