On the 16th Nov the group met Robert’s cousin Miguel and took them to the family hacienda for proper dinner and planning. Robert tells Miguel that he is planning to burn down the house. Mikhahil agrees with Miguel to the plan to burn down the house, plus giving some more detail to Miguel about the house and identities of targets: Regular for assassination: Starting on the 17th afternoon stalk the house and deal with anybody who goes around. Bribe someone and get the identity of the owner Jonathan Brooks, and the three elements inside the PO Box. They look at them over tequila: A postcard dated early Nov from a Dominguez - pointing to potentially a residential address A power bill with a potential company address A letter from Tremmel to Brooks They go to the office of Luz Discos, it is closed, potentially abandoned. They are told that the “gringo” was the main person, and there was also a beautiful local lady. Other local ones would come and go, doing errands for the “gringo”. They never seemed to have customers, but they would be loud and have music till late in the evening. They went once to celebrate about a new album to the taqueria. They mentioned a bar called La Paz. They get descriptions for both Brooks and the lady. They stop by their apartment to change and then go to La Paz - around 7.30pm. They are planning to break into the office after La Paz The place is colourful and full of life, an old reconverted church or similar. There is a band playing and is full of intellectuals / bohemian characters. They sit by the band and order some drinks and tapas. Soon a young Mexican woman approaches them and sits with them. Her name is Elena Alcatraz, and she helps organising the bands that play at La Paz. She is able to identify the woman that is described: Her name is Rosario Maria “Charito” Lopez Now goes by Leticia de la Luz - took it in late 33 Used to come here to sing in ‘32 and ‘33 Her songs started getting weirder and more experimental An American Johnathan was always around her, he was some kind of producer, always following her like a puppy Some of the boys used to play with her
