Phillis is an academic in physics at UCLA. She joined around 7-8 years ago. She is somewhat successful as an academic but otherwise generally unremarkable, according to the information obtained by Robert's fixer.

When questioned about her link to George Ayers, she claims she has never heard of him. It appears she may merely be occupying the address still technically registered to Ayers due to the department's approach to handling his disappearance.
