Edgar Job is 35 years old. He claims to have been a maths genius at UCLA (from circa 1921) before meeting Professor George Ayers who started taking him to parties frequented by the rich and famous where sex and drug use was rampant (circa 1923). Over the course of ~2 years, he became embroiled in what eventually proved to be a cult, performing rituals leading up to the summoning of Gol-goroth.

Job was in prison for murder relating to the above incident.

Doctor Keaton heard about Job through a Californian colleague. Noth Job and Henslowe described a terrifying situation caused by a monster. Realising Job's delusions were very similar to Henslowe's, and that he needed psychological help, the doctor arranged his transfer from prison to Joy Grove. He believes both Job and Henslowe have externalized the fear from a terrible event into the form of a monster, fascinatingly in apparent very similar terms.
