Definition

A PROV-O Activity is something that occurs over a period of time and acts upon or with Entities; it may include consuming, processing, transforming, modifying, relocating, using, or generating entities.

MIAPPE (following ISA) refers at several points to Assays but provides no definition for use in plant phenotyping experiments. PPEO defines Assay to be the ISA synonym for ObservedVariable which seems inappropriate.

APPN considers Activity to be the best class to represent Assay in the ISA sense (as part of a Study).
