Making Dynamic Spectra

I, Q, U and V stokes dynamic spectra are creating using the HTR X and Y products of the FRB and pol calibrator.

make_dynspec.py --options

Script used for making dynamic spectra. This script is used for both the pol calibrator and FRB, hence there are two sets of parameters passed, one for each object type (FRB, polcal). This script does a list of major things:

• Make dynamic spectrum with tune-able frequency resolution
• Apply Baseline correction
• Fold pulsar (polcal) dynamic spectra

Parameters (FRB)

params.frb_dynspec_sigma - Sigma threshold used for finding bounds of pulse during baseline correction.

params.frb_dynspec_guard - Width in ms between bounds of pulse and off pulse region used for estimating baseline correction.

params.frb_dynspec_tN = 50 - Number of samples to average when estimating baseline correction and bounds of pulse, good to be a large number.

params.frb_baseline - Width in ms of off-pulse region to estimate baseline correction. params
