Virtualizing a Router with pfSense

In today's read, it introduced a platform called pfSense. pfsense is an open sourced firewall and router platform. Many users find using pfsense vs a router because of many options as its free, offers complete control of hardware and its free. Pfsense can be installed on several embedded platforms as well. There is a community that's built around pfSense that offers support and documentation for users. Firewall, LAN/WAN routers, VPN routers, and wireless access points are some uses for pfSense. I can see myself using this platform if i'm working on my laptop at a remote location in the future.
