Network visualizer
In Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), the Network Visualizer is a built-in tool that provides interactive maps of your virtual network topology, helping you understand, troubleshoot, and validate configurations across regions, VCNs, and subnets. It’s especially useful for visualizing routing, gateways, and security relationships in complex cloud environments.
🔑 Key Uses of Network Visualizer in OCI
- Regional Network Topology
Displays a high-level map of all Virtual Cloud Networks (VCNs), Dynamic Routing Gateways (DRGs), Customer Premises Equipment (CPEs), Internet Gateways, and FastConnect circuits in a region.
Helps identify routing paths and connectivity between on-premises and cloud resources.
- VCN Topology
Shows the structure of a single VCN, including subnets, VLANs, gateways, and routing tables.
Useful for validating subnet segmentation and gateway configurations.
- Subnet Topology
Provides detailed resource-level views: instances, load balancers, File Storage Service (FSS), and Oracle Kubernetes Engine (OKE) clusters.
Enables quick troubleshooting of subnet-specific issues.
- Security & Routing Validation
Visualizes route tables, security lists, and NSGs to confirm ingress/egress rules.
Helps ensure compliance and detect misconfigurations.
Steps to Use Network Visualizer
1. Go to Networking - Click on Network Visualizer
2.Select the Compartment in Hub_Network_Compartment
Here we see the available network in the screen
When we Click on the network diagram so we will able to see details of the particular network,
When we Check in other compartment named Hub_Compute_and_storage_compartment here we get an error due to in this compartment no network configuration done. So its not show us any details.
