Performance Monitoring and Alerting for CPU, Memory of Instance

Steps to create Alarm at instance level

1. Go to Burger Menu click on Compute - instance -

2. Click on Running instance

3. Now Click on Monitoring

4.In CPU Utilization we create a Alarm

5. Click on 3 Dots (...) - Click on Create an alarm on this query

6. Now we fill Alarm Name and Fill the alarm summery with details. we fill the reason why we create this alarm and what we do when alarm triggered.

In Metric description we select Hub_Compute_and_storage_compartment , Metric namespace - oci_compute and interval we select 15 minutes interval time.

In Trigger rule 1 we set value 75 and in Trigger delay minutes we set 10 minutes and in Alarm severity we select Warning

Define alarm notifications

Destination service - Notification, Compartment - Root Compartment, Topic - Monitoring-team-notification

Massage grouping we select Group Notification across metric streams

Massage Formate we select Send formatted messages

Now Click on Save Alarm.

After Alarm create we can see details as like
