this is a tutorial on adding fiducial splines for measuring and what we can do is in the edit splines dialog we can click on new spline and select fiducial line now we can move that to represent a measurement point this lower point here of the two points in the fiducial constitutes the origin so we're measuring up this fiducial and along the axis defined by the fiducial we can change the name of this to be more descriptive and we may want now to to add this fiducial to all of our recordings in a session we can do this by creating a template again and here we've got the dorsum fiducial as an option this time we'll just select that and create a template called dorsum and save that now in the batch processing what we want to do if we go back to fit fan spline we don't want to do any tracking this time we just want to add this template so just to add this fiducial and we can then go into the batch processing and we can deselect all of these tracking options so now we're just going to add template only and the template that we're going to select here and let's just make sure we've selected that dorsum fid and we're not going to overwrite any of the existing splines so if i select process it will now go through and add that fiducial for each of the recordings i'd selected in the batch processing batch spline
