📚 Preface to AAA's features - articulateinstruments/AAA-DeepLabCut-Resources GitHub Wiki

Data types

AAA lets you synchronously record many kinds of articulatory instrumentation. You can also analyse these different kinds of data in many ways and create tables and images to put into your papers. AAA can work with:

  • Speech acoustics
  • EPG (WinEPG system)
  • Laryngograph, airflow, and other analogue signals recorded with multichannel soundcard
  • Ultrasound (raw data from Telemed and Ultrasonix systems)
  • Lip camera video
  • Video-based output from ultrasound systems
  • Electrophotoglottograph (measures glottal abduction, adduction and phonation)
  • Electromagnetic Articulograph (eg. Carstens EMA)
  • Vicon (camera tracking system)

AAA lets you work faster

AAA is set up to give the best results for most tasks by default, so you shouldn't need to change the settings much. Advanced settings let you control parameterisation if needed.

20 years ago a researcher could spend months annotating their data by hand and analysing it. Today, AAA can automate the boring stuff and do complex data analysis in moments. We want to make your life easy, so you can get back to doing the real research that interests you.
