AnalogMAX DAQ1 or DAQ2 or DAQ3 Evaluation Kits - arrowelectronics/analogmax GitHub Wiki
The AnalogMAX-DAQ1/DAQ2/DAQ3 Evaluation Kits are very similar. They are sample and capture analog data from a signal source, and then transmit that data to a PC to be displayed in a graphical user interface GUI software. The kit is composed of these elements:
- One AnalogMAX-DAQ1, AnalogMAX-DAQ2, or AnalogMAX-DAQ3 module (includes analog signal source)
- One USB cable
- GUI PC Software. Two options:
- Jupyter Notebook
- DAQCapture GUI Windows app
- Windows PC with at least one available USB port (second required if using Symphona signal source)
- Chrome or Edge web browser is required if using Jupyter Notebook. (No browser required if using DAQCapture GUI.)
- The module contains a high speed, high resolution, low power Analog to Digital Converter (ADC)
- AnalogMAX-DAQ1: Based on Analog Devices' AD4003 18-bit, 2 MSPS, Easy Drive, Differential SAR ADC
- AnalogMAX-DAQ2: Based on Analog Devices' ADAQ7980 16-Bit, 1 MSPS μModule® Data Acquisition System
- AnalogMAX-DAQ3: Based on Analog Devices ADAQ4003 18-bit, 2 MSPS, μModule® Data Acquisition Solution
- The analog signal source may be generated a number of ways:
- Connecting SMA cables from an Analog Devices Symphona signal generator board
- Connecting SMA cables from any user-generated signal
- Looping back an internal square wave which is generated on the module itself
- The ADC is controlled by an Intel® MAX® 10 FPGA, which manages a serial command protocol across a USB interface. Serial commands are sent to the module to cause it to generate a sample record and then respond with the sample values.
