For the background, please read Why coArchi2?
Are there any bugs/issues in coArchi2?
Yes. Merge is not properly implemented and can lead to problems. Do not use coArchi2 in production if you are merging in teams!
Where do I download the plug-in?
coArchi2 is a work in progress so we haven't made it generally available just yet except for some friends and Patreons. If you'd like to test it you need to be aware that merge and conflict handling are not working so if you can help with this that would be helpful.
How do I get started?
Please read Getting Started and the Quick Start.
What version of Archi do I need to run coArchi2?
5.6.0 or later.
Does coArchi2 have all the features of coArchi 1?
Yes and no. coArchi2 is a complete re-write of coArchi 1. Some features that are present in coArchi 1 are not yet implemented in coArchi2. Conversely, there are many new features in coArchi2 that are not present in coArchi 1. Merge conflict handling is the main feature not yet implemented.
Are repositories created with coArchi 1 compatible with coArchi2?
No. You'll need to start with a fresh repository if using coArchi2. However, you can import a model that is managed by a coArchi 1 repository to a new coArchi2 repository. If you have coArchi 1 installed as well as coArchi2, open the coArchi 1 model in the Models Tree and select it, then choose "Add Model To Repository" from the coArchi2 "Collaboration" menu. If you don't have coArchi 1 installed as well as coArchi2 open the model from its location <archi_user_data_folder>/model-repository/repo_name/.git/temp.archimate and then choose "Add Model To Repository" from the coArchi2 "Collaboration" menu.
Can I install coArchi2 alongside coArchi 1?
Yes you can, but it might get confusing with duplicate menus and panels. See Creating a stand-alone installation of Archi and coArchi2 for a way to test coArchi2 in a separate sandbox.
Can I have more than one model in a repository?
No. The rule is "one model, one repository". Please read this.
Who is funding work on coArchi2?
Patreons and other friends of Archi. Without this financial support coArchi, jArchi, or Archi itself would not exist. Please consider helping out here or here.
Feature X is currently not implemented in coArchi2, when will you implement it?
I can't say. My workload supporting and developing Archi, jArchi, coArchi2, support, CI, maintenance and Eclipse related issues is now so much that I simply can't manage it all. Please remember this is all free and open source software, maintained by one person.
Who is developing coArchi2?
Just two people - Phil Beauvoir and Jean-Baptiste Sarrodie (the same two who developed Archi, jArchi, and coArchi 1). See here.
Is there a roadmap?
Yep.
