Testing

Run these checks after every deploy.

1. Test the proxy directly

Open https://fadeout.venture31.com/api/tmdb/trending/movie/day

Expected: raw data starting with something like {"page":1,"results":[{..., with movie titles in it.

What you see	What it means
Movie data as JSON	The proxy is working
Invalid API key (status_code 7)	The token is wrong. See Troubleshooting
{"error":"Not allowed"}	The app is running, but the path isn't on the allow-list
404 Not Found	Requests aren't reaching the Node.js app
503 Service Unavailable	The Node.js app is crashing on startup

2. Test the site

Open https://fadeout.venture31.com and check that:

• The trending movies row loads
• The trending TV row loads
• Today and This Week both reload the rows
• Search returns results
• Clicking a poster opens the details panel with a trailer

3. Check the console

Open developer tools (Cmd + Option + I on Mac), go to the Console tab, and repeat step 2.

Expected: no red errors.

If errors from before a fix still appear, hard refresh with Cmd + Shift + R so the browser stops using cached files.
