Because of the the great Zylagan expansion in the first age Thannzyl are the most common ethnicity across Ajira and Demarah. Their culture encourages pride in their Aemony heritage and devout worship in the church of Aemon. Not all Thannzyl follow this path though. Thannzyl that choose mates that are often referred to as Zhyl or are said to be Zhylling. This means to pollute other bloodlines while you search for a more acceptable mate. These term are not often heard in polite conversation nor within earshot of other ethnicities or races. Most Thannzyl are overly judgmental and have a love of Kilvan Gold but that is just the stereotype.

The offspring of Aemon sometimes inherit his nose for secrets. His decedents are good at noticing what someone is trying to hide.

Thannzyl, unlike their cousins, generally have to know how to get along with people of other races and have learned to be quite skilled at it. The art of being a different person in public than in a thannzyl home is called Rattyga.
