Garothan, or Zhae as they call themselves in Demarah or Gralli in Ajira, are giants of men. Standing at heights over 7 feet and a natural strength and endurance they make for an opposing adversary. The large powerful bodies the Garothan posses is the rare genetic result of mixing the blood of a pure Aemon and someone with Zho Blood. The anomaly only occurs in one in five hundred offspring of this mixing. The church of Aemon has since their first appearance sworn to wipe them off the face of zeriquia and they draw greater ire form Thanzyl and the Church of Aemon than any other minority. The Garothan on each of the two continents that they appear on each of recognized progenitors, Zhessari in Demarah and Grall in Ajira. Over the 5813 years of recorded Zerequian history those two groups of diverged into various tribes and cultures as described below and have visually distinguishable sub ethnic groups and cultures. The Alliance of Nations declared them protected in the year 3 A.O.T.

Racial Benefits and Drawbacks

Giant

Garothan are huge people and are treated as having the Giant merit and gain all the benefits of have it.

Strong Body

Garothan have stronger muscles and tendons as well as a hardier tolerance for environmental conditions. Because of the gain the 9 again quality on strength based checks and reduce all strength requirements by one. They are also treated as have environmental tolerance hot and cold.

Drawbacks

Garothan are treated with much prejudice by those of Zyl decent and because of this they get a -3 penalty on social roles anyone other than O'Reune or other people of Zho decent and also cannot receive the 8,9,or 10 again qualities during these interactions.
