Aemon believe they are the decedents of the first major leader of the largest empire of human societies and are for the most part very proud of that. Their earlier origins are a mystery to everyone except a few Roh'dalahen scholars, ahkraam and mages. Their progenitor was faster, stronger, smarter ect... than everyone. He "as it is taught in the Church of Aemon" was the perfect human form. Tall, Strong and Pale. The Aemon that today continue to have those traits do so because of a practice called Thrjtzaga(Thrite'Zaga) in which mates are valued by genetic similarity. Marrying ones parents and Siblings are the most desirable in this case. This tradition is very common in both Aemon and Thannzyl families to see this. Aemon do this because their genes suffer no malformation in children born of incest and because to have children with anyone but a pure Aemon renders Thannzyl children. The Thannzyl do this because in rare cases this practice has born Aemon children between two thannzyl parents. When the genes are right you end up with a large, beautiful person with pale features and abilities far greater than the average human. The tried in impose this practice by law in the first age and wiped out 60% of the Ahkraam population during that time and completely wiped out the Ranu'Aji(Red O'Reune) while conquering the world heritage sight that the Zylagans still call home. Because of these things they are still hated and mistrusted by most non humans.

Racial Benefits and Drawbacks
Perfect Humanoid Form
Aemon have a nearly perfect human form. Because of this they receive the Specimen Endowment at character creation. They are considered Gamma and receive one point of gamma if they do not already have one. The Endowment is not lost if a template is gained. They also receive a 1 dot bonus to Presence making their base 2 rather than 1.
Imposing Presence
Aemon are universally feared and envied on Seeraqui. They receive the 9 again quality on social roles to deal with Thannzyl and members of the church of Aemon.
Drawbacks
Hated
The Aemon people have committed some awful atrocities from genocide to covert genetic engineering and their peoples popular religious beliefs don't make them popular with their various victims ancestors either. Due to this they can't receive any bonuses or get the 8,9, or 10 again qualities on social roles when dealing with Zhal, Vedea, Ahkraam or O'reune.
Genetic sexual attraction (GSA)
Genetic sexual attraction (GSA) is the action of or the propensity towards incest between close relatives, such as siblings or half-siblings, a parent and offspring, or first and second cousins, they meet or know. Aemon tend to select mates who are like themselves, which is known as assortative mating or Thrjtzaga. (GSA) Counts as a permanent Derangement that you have from birth. This Derangement can be recovered from with either therapy or a large amount of time spent in other cultures.

The Birthplace of the Aemon is Zylaga, though where Zylaga's borders lie have changed many times and are still changing. Can be found in their former territory as well in Araksool.

True Aemon have used single names since the birth of the first. When spoken formally or when introducing ones self "of" and "Fathers Name" should proceed after you own name. When creating a child's name Most Aemon like to insert parts of the Name of Aemon or their holy land zylaga into the name. Exsample: Aesol of Zylkaar
