Your guide to everything added by the Swampier Swamps Mod, a Mod that aims to overhaul and improve the Swamp Biome and some of the features added in the Wild Update.

🌿 Features:

🐸 Expanded Frog Content:

  • 13 New Frog Variants – Customizable spawning through JSON files.
  • 13 New Frog Lights – Now slightly bouncy like slime blocks.
  • Frog Legs – Dropped by frogs (1-2 per frog).
  • Potion of Leaping Recipe Change – Now requires Frog Legs instead of Rabbit Paws (Rabbit Paws now create Potions of Luck, configurable).
  • Secret Killer Frog – Naming a frog "Swallow Me Waldo" turns it into a killer frog that eats everything (can be disabled).

🌱 New Plants & Environment:

  • New Lily Pads – Big and small variants (small ones require shears to harvest).
  • Lily Pad Growth System – Makes lily pads renewable.
  • Sinking Lily Pads – Standing on them causes them to sink (timing configurable).
  • Cattail & Swamp Vines – Cattail grows underwater in swamps, when bone meal is used. Swamp Vines replace normal vines in swamps and grow into water.
  • Bald Cypress Trees – New tree type, planted with a 2x2 oak sapling setup (configurable).
  • Expanded Swamp Terrain – More plants, Mud Puddles and Decaying Logs.

🌫 New Mechanics & Resources:

  • Swamp Gas – Generated by Decaying Kelp, forming green clouds over water.
    • Can be bottled with an empty bottle.
    • Causes negative effects when walked through (configurable).
    • Explodes when hit by a burning projectile (explosion size configurable).
    • Used to craft Gas Lamps, which have adjustable brightness based on Redstone input.
    • Can also be used to fuel furnaces for a longer time (duration configurable).
  • Decaying Kelp – Naturally spawns underwater in swamps.
    • Can also be created by submerging Kelp Blocks.
    • Harvestable for Fertile Farmland.
  • Fertile Farmland – A new farmland type that boosts crop growth (growth speed and water range configurable).

🏡 New Structures:

  • Swamp Villages – Villages unique to swamp biome.

🦟 New Mobs:

  • Dragonflies – Come in various sizes and colors (size configurable).
