Using Streamnesia
[!IMPORTANT] This guide assumes you have the latest version of Streamnesia installed.
For installation & update instructions see this guide.
1) Open Amnesia's installation directory
2) Launch streamnesia/Streamnesia.exe
[!NOTE] If you run into
Windows Protected your PCpopup, click "More info" then "Run Anyway"
This is because Streamnesia is not signed with a developer certificate. We're working on that...
3) Open the UI in your browser
By default, Streamnesia hosts its UI on your LAN (same WiFi / cable internet connection).
This means you can access the UI from any device connected to the same network.
[!WARNING] The URL and QR code in the screenshot is only an example and will not open your UI
You need to go to the URL displayed in YOUR Streamnesia.exe
You can open the UI from another device by either scanning the provided QR code or typing the provided local IP address and port (red underline) into your browser.
What if my console doesn't generate a QR code?
In rare situations, Streamnesia fails to print the QR code and only displays general info messages:
In such case you can still use the UI by going to localhost:5000.
If you would still like to use the UI from another device you're first going to have to find your local IP address and replace localhost with it before entering the URL into another device's browser.
If everything went well, you should see a UI similar to this:
4) (optional) Twitch stream setup
[!NOTE] Setting up twitch is best done on your PC as opposed to a phone, because you will have to open multiple web pages

- Verify you're human
- Copy the Access Token Value

Twitch bot namewith the username of the account you used to generate the token - Fill in
Twitch Channelwith the name aftertwitch.tv/of the channel where you will be streaming
[!IMPORTANT] Remember to save your changes!

5) Load Payloads
[!WARNING] Make sure the game is not running. Otherwise you payload assets won't load until you restart the game!

Launch the game your usual way. Either through Steam or by running Amnesia.exe
7) Connect Amnesia
With the game running and in focus, click the "Connect" button inside the "Connect Amnesia" widget of the UI's home screen.
The game must be running. This is why it's better to use another device for the UI.
8) If you aren't planning on streaming, launch Local Chaos and enjoy
If you are not trying to stream, click the Start Local Chaos button and start playing Amnesia.
By default, random payloads will execute every 20 seconds. You can change this behavior through Settings.
9) (optional) Connect twitch bot
If you're streaming on Twitch, now is the time to connect your twitch bot with the "Connect" button under the "Twitch bot" widget.
10) (optional) Setup OBS overlay
In order for your viewers to see the choices, set up your OBS overlay.
- In OBS add Browser source pointing to
localhost:5000/overlay
[!IMPORTANT] Do not forget the
/overlaypart
- Set the resolution to
1920by1080for smaller UI - Alternatively, you can set it to

[!WARNING] If you restart Streamnesia, you should refresh the browser source to connect to the currently running instance!
11) (optional) Start Twitch Chaos mode
Start the Twitch Poll mode by clicking Start Twitch Poll in the UI, then start playing.
After this, your twitch viewers can view and vote for payloads displayed on screen.
There are more things your Twitch chat can do, for the full list see Twitch Poll Features.
