Beta-LTS Release Policy

Beta-LTS is a separate maintenance stream for environments with strict stability requirements.

Goal

  • Lower feature churn
  • Targeted security and reliability fixes
  • Predictable rollout windows for schools and exam periods

Difference from Stable

  • Stable: faster feature cadence
  • Beta-LTS: stricter gate, longer pre-release validation

Tagging Guidance

  • Stable: v26.04.XX.XXX
  • Beta-LTS: same version family with explicit release title marker, for example [Beta-LTS]

Rollout Guidance

  1. Update one pilot classroom first.
  2. Observe for 3 to 5 school days.
  3. Roll out to remaining endpoints after validation.
