Header packets usually contain the date but not the year. By looking at the day of week and date you can narrow down the possible years.

Some service packets contain the full time and date. You can view them in two ways:

teletext filter -r 30 stream.t42 - to see all service information packets.

teletext scan stream.t42 - to see a combined summary of headers and timestamps present in the stream.

If dated service timestamps are not available you will need to do some detective work. Movie and music review pages are a good place to start as you can easily look up the year of release. On BBC services, the engineering and recruitment pages often contain the year.
