Motivation technics

  1. Pay your people what they are worth
  2. Provide them with a pleasant place to work
  3. Offer opportunities for self-development
  4. Foster collaboration within the team
  5. Encourage happiness
  6. Don't punish failure
  7. Set clear goals
  8. Don't micromanage
  9. Avoid useless meetings

Convince to do boring tasks

  1. Advice to automate when possible
  2. Advice to look at another angle, use a new approach, technology and learn from it
  3. Demonstrate justice. Rotate tasks across team members fairly in accordance with their skills and wishes. Make this process transparent

Low performers

  1. Improve your feedback (let low performer know that you notice)
  2. Prepare an action plan (without a viable solution, any negative feedback is useless)
  3. Look at the communication channels (team members need to know exactly what’s expected of them)
  4. Set performance goals
  5. Follow up on implementation (ensure that the proposed changes are being implemented)
