I use Figma for graphic design.

  • OBS is great, but it's not the best for composing more complex designs or backgrounds.
  • plugins are amazing for manipulating content that already exists, but I recommend other software for making logo, backgrounds, etc.

Within a scene I like to group my sources by purpose/use, i.e. audio group, webcam group, etc.

When possible, I recommend re-using sources across scenes

  • add same audio group to all relevant scenes instead of recreating individual audio sources or groups for each scene
  • create a webcam "component" you can re-use/re-size as necessary across your stream
