I use multiple scene collections to organize my streams

Separating my assets by "Scene Collection" helps me organize my content by project and avoid scrambling to find a missing logo or background at the last minute.

Each scene collections has separate scenes nested inside it, all populated by a variety of audio and visual sources.

  • For my "Code Along with Alex" project, I use a distinct OBS Scene Collection with three distinct inside
    • Focus on speaker (Webcam Scene)
    • Focus on documentation, with inset speaker (Docs Scene)
    • Focus on code, with inset speaker (VSCode Scene)

  • Side note: I use the OBS-MIDI plugin to toggle between scenes and Move-transition plugin to move individual sources around when I switch between scenes.

All you can really do is experiment to find what works best for your workflow and your content.
