Adding an Existing Widget to a Page

Using the Akumina Presentation Framework, adding existing functionality to a new page is easy and straightforward. In the following walk through, we will add the RssNews widget to a new share point page.

Existing Widgets

You can find all existing widgets within the Widget Manager – Manage Widgets View. Click View Instances to see the snippets for each widget.

Widget Snippets

In the Widget Manager - Manage Widget Instance View, copy the widget snippet of the desired instance by clicking the Copy button.

Edit the Webpage

You will need to navigate to the page you want to add the widget to. Once there, you will have to edit the page. Click on a Content Editor WebPart within the page (if there isn’t one, you can click on the WebPart Zone > Add A WebPart and once you see your web part options you can find the Content Editor WebPart under Media and Content > Content Editor). Click Edit Source

Paste your snippet within the HTML Source Modal that pops up. Click OK

Publish the Page

Your webpart will now show up.
