Draw Counters

TS_DRAWCOUNTERS

The Draw Counters dialog allows you to configure parameters for placing counters in your drawing based on rule type and material thickness.

Supported Entities

• Arcs
• Lines
• Polylines (including arc segments)

Note: The Break at Intersections option only applies to lines and linear segments of polylines.

Settings

• Material Thickness
  Enter or select the material thickness. This value is used when calculating appropriate counter dimensions.

• Rule
  Choose the rule type to match the crease rule in your design:

  • 2pt – Standard rule height.
  • 3pt – Taller rule, used for specific materials or stronger creasing needs.

• Counter Width
  This defines the width of each counter. You can manually enter a value or use the Calculate button to automatically set it based on the selected material thickness and rule.

• Counter Offset
  This value defines the distance the counter is offset from the crease rule. It must be entered manually.

• Min. Crease Length
  The minimum length a crease must have to be considered for counter generation. Default value is 10.0 units. Shorter crease lines will be ignored.

• Break at Intersections
  When enabled, the counters will detect intersections on the crease entities and take them into account. Default value is off.

Actions

• OK
  Applies the settings and generates the counters.
• Note: If counters already exist in the drawing, you will be prompted to delete them before proceeding. This prompt only appears if existing counters are detected.
• Cancel
  Closes the dialog without applying any changes.
