These Start Menu scripts are maintained using sources from ajay9634 on GitHub.
An internet connection is required to update the Start Menu.
Most links and scripts are based on Winetricks.

DirectX Components

Improves compatibility with older games and software.
Already included by default in Winlator. Based on DirectX June 2010.

Recommended steps:

  • Install Direct3D.bat
  • Apply the native,builtin registry
  • Then run Install dmusic, dplay, dshow.bat

Note: Some emulators may not support all features.

DSound

Contains different DSound libraries for compatibility.
Recommended: dsound (DSOAL) for most games.

DXVK

DXVK versions for Vulkan-based rendering.
To install a specific version, run dxvk_custom.bat and enter the version number.

  • 7z24.09-zstd-x64 – Advanced 7-Zip GUI for archive management
  • Adobe Flash Player (32-bit) – For playing SWF games
  • CFF Explorer – EXE modifier and analysis tool
  • DOSBox Emulator – Play DOS games
  • DXCapsViewer – Shows current wrapper info
  • Exe Info Checker – Displays detailed EXE metadata
  • NSIS 3.11 (SFX Maker) – Create setup installers
  • Resource Hacker – Modify EXEs and resources

Fixes

  • FAudio – Fixes sound issues in games like Skyrim
  • Fonts – Solves missing font problems
  • Microsoft XAudio2_9 + Redist – Useful in games like RDR
  • VB6-Extended – Required by certain older apps
  • VC Redist 2015–2019 – Common requirement (conflicts with VC Redist 2022)
  • Missing DLLs (Skip) – Useful for legacy VC runtime support

Includes registry tweaks and patches for popular games.

MSXML

Required by some old PC game launchers.

.NET

Supports various .NET Framework versions.

Warning: Installation is time-consuming and may be unnecessary.
Recommended: Use Mono, Gecko, or XNAFX where possible.

PhysX

Various NVIDIA PhysX runtimes for different game engines.

Registry

Registry tweaks and configurations for improved compatibility.

VKD3D

VKD3D libraries for Direct3D-to-Vulkan translation.

Wine Mono

Mono runtimes for games requiring .NET.
Includes both latest and custom versions.

WineD3D

Alternative D3D translation using OpenGL.
Useful for older games not compatible with Vulkan.

Winlator Dev Tools

Note: For Winlator users only.

  • Access Hidden Folders – Access files from other containers (e.g., view Container 2 from Container 1)
  • Backup & Restore Desktop/Shortcuts – Save or restore custom configurations
  • Install Components for Winlator 10+ – Installs optimized environments, Box64, Turnip, DXVK, etc.
  • MangoHUD for Winlator (glibc longjunyu2 only) – Performance overlay, supported in specific builds

Wrapper (Install After DXVK)

Includes wrapper libraries:

  • Glide

Enhances compatibility with legacy games.

Ajay Hotkeys.bat

Open hotkey shortcuts.
Example: Alt+F5 = Open Task Manager

Delete Downloaded Files.bat

Manually delete files downloaded by 1.components.
Alternatively, use your Android file manager.

Install Necessary Files.bat

Installs essential components for old games.
Safe for beginners.

Do not install if using Steam.

Run IB from Drive D.bat

Launches ib.exe from the D: drive.
